You know how sharing your beliefs is great? Have you ever thought that sharing MORE is even better? Today we talk about why that can be bit of a problem.
If mentioning your faith every once in a while is good, then mentioning your faith all the time is BETTER, right?
Wrong. But why?
Because we don't live in a world of black and white. In other words, we don't live in world of PERFECTLY good people and PERFECTLY bad people.
Everyone is good and bad, so we are more of a... grayish color.
People think that if you aren't talking about God all the time, everyday and sharing your faith, that you won't bring anyone to Christ.
But in reality, who wants to listen to some guy blabber about his religion all the time? That would be very annoying.
Try to think of it like this:*
If you don't talk about your faith enough, that's bad. But if you talk about it too much, that's also bad.
Just like water, it's good for you and if you don't drink water... you die.
But you can also die from drinking too much water (yes, water toxic).
Sharing your faith is okay, but some people take it too far. They take it to the extent of offending someone, and pushing people away from christianity.
This actually brings thoughts of why a lot of christians are hypocrites.
So even though sharing your faith is great, be careful in what you say and how far you take it. Remember that not everyone grew up in a christian home and try to understand the other person's point of view.
If you don't agree with something someone has said, simply just say that you disagree. You don't need to go into a deep explanation of why you don't agree, unless they ask.
I know it's hard, but sometimes us christians need to keep our mouth shut, and let GOD handle the situation.
