Religious Pride

I have been taking a theological course lately, and one part of the study really made me think.  It was talking about how there are TWO sides; light and dark, God and Satan etc.

The preacher talks about the two kingdoms, he says that in the beginning of all of our lives, we were on the side of darkness.
I mean, think about it, without God in our lives, we are lost.  We're no better then the people on Satan's side.
The paragraph went on to explain that there are all types of people in Satan's kingdom; good people, evil people, religious people etc.
Your religion (or what you believe) doesn't make you a good person.  What your personality is and how you treat people is based on YOUR decisions.
Christians aren't necessarily good people, they are just FORGIVEN.
When I say I am a Christian
I don't speak of this with pride
I'm confessing that I stumble
and need Christ to be my guide.❞

In fact, I HATE thinking that my non-christian friends are on Satan's side.  It's hard to think of it that way, when a lot of them are genuinely nice people.  The only difference is they're not saved.
If us christians are meant to be the LIGHT of the world, or we are meant to be on God's side, we need to start acting like it.
We go to church on Sunday, and act all nice at church and blah blah blah.  Then we leave church and as SOON as we step into reality, we change our attitude.
NOBODY is going to think we are from God's side if we act like... well, rude and proud.  I want you to think "If I wasn't a christian, how would I see other christians?".
I mean, when I first became a christian, I thought EVERY christian you meet would be a nice person. But I was wrong, very very wrong.
If you think being a proud christian is okay, then I think you are worshipping another God.  You just can't be a proud christian.
We all need to step out of our little closed boxes, and start looking at the world around us.  Start noticing that us christians NEED TO WAKE UP.
We need to realize that not everyone grew up in a christian home, or just randomly got a call from the lord.  But if you treat them badly, they'll never listen to any of the signs from God.
You're not perfect, nobody is perfect.  The only person that ever deserved to be proud, was Jesus Christ.  And he was more humble then most of the christians I see nowadays.
Help bring the statistics down, stop acting like a "proud christian", and start acting like a believer of Christ.
Stop telling yourself you're a christian, and start thinking "Would Jesus act like this?"
