"How big is your faith?" My Sunday school teacher asked.
"Mine is as big as a mountain!" My friend shouted.
"Mine is as big as the world!" Another boasted.
"Mine is the biggest thing in the universe!" Another exclaimed.
"Mine is as small as a mustard seed." said the little girl at the back.
Yet you can still do great things.
We all know that God has great plans for us. No matter how much we dream, think or plan our future, God always has the last say.
In Mathew 17:20, Jesus says "Because you have faith as small as a mustard seed, I assure you that you can say to this mountain, move from here to here."
But do you know how small a mustard seed is? It's about 1mm in diameter. That's really small! Let me tell you a story.
There once was a group of Christians traveling in the mountains, all of a sudden, they were captured and sentenced to death. The people took away their belongings, including their bibles. While the Christians were praying and asking God for help, the chief of the people was reading one of the bibles. Later on that night, he burst into their prison cell.
"Your bible says that you can move that mountain, if it isn't moved by tomorrow, your dead." He said coldly and walked out.
For the rest of the night, the Christians were fasting and praying for the mountain to move. The Christians are still alive to this day.
All they needed was a little faith. With a little faith in God, you can do anything.
Sometimes God wants us to spell faith, R-I-S-K. Because he wants us to have faith in him when we take a risk.
-Joel Osteen
No matter how 'christian like' your friend is, you can still do greater things for God with a little bit of faith.
Thanks for reading!
